Franklin returned to the fold and began writing songs, recording and performing. Since 1991, he was supported by his choir of 17 members, a group of friends (interestingly, a family member, Jon Drummond, reached the semifinals of the 100-meter sprint at the Olympic Games 1996). Support your pastor, his wife Tammy, whom he married in early 1996, and the four children they brought to the marriage help keep Franklin near their religious center, and he returned in 1998 with Nu Nation Project. The album topped the Billboard Top 200 charts (reaching number seven) and remained on the Billboard Gospel Albums for 49 weeks, paving the way for the third Franklin Grammy (Best Contemporary Gospel Album Soul)
